----Capture Rights----

 

1: Any free man of City of Venna who captures or brings a woman to the City, from outside of the City, who is not of the City as resident currently is subject to the capture rights. The non-citizen woman is at her captors mercy. He is free to release her, or strip her of every right and place her in a collar. Should the captured woman not be willing to submit she may be subject to a swift execution by the captor without fear of prosecution.

 

Until such time as the captured free woman is collared or branded or performs an act of submission she is accorded the respect of her station.

----------Ownership and Slavery-------

 

1: It is illegal to claim....
    1A: A girl with red or auburn hair.
    1B: Pedigree
    1C: Virginity status
    1D: Brand type
    1E: Measurements
    1F: Training
    1G: Any other information that may pertain to the slave

2: It is illegal to trade of unbranded slaves, the slaves will be confiscated by the city.

​

3: Any slaves whom are unclaimed, or possibly unbranded(barbarian/earth girls), become the property of the city.
    3A: The slave must be found within the city and it's lands.
    3B: If a citizen is the one whom finds the slave, it is their responsibility to hand the slave over to the city kennels.
    3C: The citizen gets first rights to buy said slave.
    3D: Unless the slave or Free submit to a specific man or woman whose a citizen, become their property.(see city laws B about submission).

4: All slaves trade within the city must have a collar and brand, anyone found harboring slaves without collars and or brands will be punished.

5: Anyone must register their slaves to the scribe caste and papers given to the record keeper.
    5A: All slave papers must accompany exam papers from a physician for a clean bill of health.

6: Anyone found without register slaves will have their slaves confiscated to the city.

​

7: A slave is the property of their owner and maybe used, disposed of and or destroyed as the owner sees fit.

​

8: The private ownership of slaves and their determined value can be recorded in the official registers at the request of the owner. The caste of slavers can provide independent valuations.
    8A: The owner may rent their slave out to businesses and set terms. The original slave owner may break the contract if the business violates           the terms.
    
9: The "use" of a slave is defined as any and all sexual acts.
    9A:  Use may be granted in writing and signed by both parties.
    9B: If use is not granted or paid for, then compensation should be sought by the owner of the slave.
    9C: You must seek a magistrate for judgment.
    9D: The accused has one hand to gather said coin.
    9E: If the accused refuses to pay or can not pay, you must seek a magistrate for relief.
    9F: If a Free is accused of red silking(taking her virginity[vaginal, anal or oral]), it is felony theft and will be forced to pay the blood price.
    9G: If any compensation not able to or refusal by court order will be subjected to the laws of debt.

10: Any Free may kill a slave who is found to be extremely disobedient. The city or private owner have rights to seek a magistrate for compensation.
    10A: Refusal to pay or unable will be subjected to the laws of debt.

11: Any slave found touching or playing Kaissa will be slain.

​

12: Any property of the Free person, whose a citizen, whom are enslaved rather forcefully or submissions shall be subjected as follow:
    12A: It shall be treated as a death of a citizen.
    12B: All property will follow their will and or the laws about inheritance under Venna Laws B.
    
13: Any Free whom submits, begin a new life as a slave and will not be held accountable for any crimes, debts but may not recover any property or their caste. They must retrain in their caste.
     13A: Abuse of this to get out of trouble might be subjected to death, since you are a slave, you might be confiscated and disposed of.
     
14: Lost or stolen slaves, the original owners only have one hand to claim them, failure to do so will become property of the new owner or the city.

15: Abandonment will be considered if the slave has no contact with their own in four-teen days. The slave will be passed using the inheritance laws

16: Any slave whom runs away either by their own action or be missing for four-teen days will be considered a runaway. All runaway slave punishment is hamstrung.

17: Any slave striking a Free will be put to death.

18: Any slave claiming a Home Stone or caste will be put to death.

19: A child born from a slave, become a slave and is owned by the slave's owner. It is only at the time of birth, not conception. Pregnant slaves
     are not permitted to be seen in public.
20: All guard slaves are required to be registered with the Commander and High Magistrate for investigation, interrogation and approval.

21: No Free, Family or Business may have more than two "guard slaves."

22: Any guard slave maybe put to death after investigation by a magistrate if...
